The following is the handling of free measures for Expressway Tohoku region after April.
1 Support for people evacuated due to the nuclear accident
We will continue to review the support provided to those who have been evacuated due to the nuclear accident.

Support for people evacuated due to the nuclear accident
During the implementation of the free measures for those who have been evacuated due to the nuclear accident, the target driving will be reviewed.
- The target people, target vehicle types, necessary documents, and traffic methods will remain unchanged.
- Free measures for those who have been evacuated except for nuclear accidents that require presentation of affliction certificate and disaster certificate will end at 24:00 on Saturday, March 31, 2012.

Target: Those who have been evacuated due to the nuclear accident
原発事故により避難されている方とは、東日本大震災発生時（以下「被災時」といいます。）に、国が定める原発事故の警戒区域及び計画的避難区域に指定されている地域並びに緊急時避難準備区域に指定されていた地域（以下「警戒区域等」といいます。別紙2をご参照ください。）を生活の本拠としていた方をいいます。
なお、実施期間中に警戒区域及び計画的避難区域の見直しが行われた場合においても、当面、対象となる避難者の範囲は変更されません。

Target vehicle type: All vehicle types (vehicles that are being evacuated are driving or riding together)
対象走行：原発周辺の対象インターチェンジ（以下「対象IC」といいます。）
を入口または出口として通行料金を取り扱う走行
- 別紙3「対象インターチェンジ」をご参照ください。
必要な書面：出口料金所においては、入口料金所で受け取った通行券とあわせて、
以下の書面をご提示して頂く必要があります。
なお、ご提示頂く書面については原本（コピー不可）になります。

If you enter with the ETC card inserted in the vehicle-mounted device, it will be treated as ETC and will not be subject to free measures. - Smart IC cannot be used.
- Please present the necessary documents at the exit and tell the exit staff that you are an evacuee due to the nuclear accident.
- 山形自動車道・日本海東北自動車道（湯殿山IC～酒田みなとIC）、米沢南陽道路（南陽高畠IC～米沢北IC）、東京外環道等のNEXCO均一区間、首都高速、阪神高速など、対象ICを入口又は出口として一体で料金を徴収されない高速道路は対象外です。
またこれらの道路を経由した後のNEXCO道路の走行（首都高速を経由して東名高速道を走行した場合 等）は対象外になります。

Attachment 4 Free measures for Expressway Tohoku region Handling after April
Support for disaster-stricken areas, promotion of tourism, and support for people who have been evacuated except for nuclear accidents
- It will be finished by Saturday, March 31, 2012.
- The free measure will be applied when the time to pass the entrance toll gate is until 24:00 on Saturday, March 31, 2012.
- Regarding the Yamagata Expressway, the Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway (Yudonyama IC-Sakata Minato IC) and the Yonezawa Nan-Yo Road (Nanyo Takahata IC-Yonezawa Kita IC), which are the targets of tourism promotion, they are judged according to the passing time of each tollgate. ..
- The same handling will be applied to those who have been evacuated due to the nuclear accident before the review.
Reference 1 At the tollgate that merges and collects tolls for flat-rate toll roads, at the mainline tollgate on the Honshu-Shikoku Expressway
- There is a charge for flat-rate roads and the Honshu-Shikoku Expressway so please pay separately. You can also pay with an ETC card.
- If you wish to apply the ETC discount on flat-rate roads and Honshu-Shikoku Expressway in a car with an ETC on-board unit installed, please pay with an ETC card and inform the toll gate staff accordingly.
