

This is a group of horizontal burial chambers (a nationally designated historical site) located in Yoshimi Town, Saitama Prefecture, dating back to the late Kofun period (6th-7th centuries). It features a unique landscape with 219 burial chambers lined up on the slope of a rocky mountain. During wartime, it was also used as an underground munitions factory. Furthermore, the burial chambers are home to luminous moss, a nationally designated natural monument, creating a mystical atmosphere.
