Promoting our business to future civil engineers
On November 15, 2024, the Sendai Construction Office welcomed approximately 120 students from all three grades of the Civil Engineering and Information Department at Miyagi Prefectural Furukawa Technical High School to tour the construction site of the Kurihara Interchange project, which our company is undertaking under contract from Miyagi Prefecture.
On-site, we received an explanation of the project outline from Miyagi Prefecture, the project operator, and toured the construction status of the new bridge and ground improvement work, as well as the removed overpass.
The removed overpass was taken down at the end of October 2024 during a nighttime road closure on the Tohoku Tohoku Expressway to make way for the installation of interchange ramps. Visitors enthusiastically toured the site, seeing the bridge's cut sections and other parts not normally visible, while listening to explanations about the construction methods from the person in charge.
