On July 25, 2025, the Sendai Construction Office conducted a site visit to the Kurihara Interchange construction project, which our company is undertaking under contract from Miyagi Prefecture, as part of the "2025 Summer Vacation! Construction Site Tour for Elementary School Students and Their Guardians (organized by Miyagi Prefecture and the Kurihara Branch of the Miyagi Prefectural Construction Industry Association)."
After an explanation of the project outline from Miyagi Prefecture, the 11 participating groups experienced various programs, including a quiz about Expressway. In addition, the Construction Industry Association led activities such as test rides on heavy machinery and AR experiences, and with the cooperation of the Sendai Management Office, there was also a display and opportunity to ride in a patrol vehicle.
Furthermore, to ensure that the experience remains memorable even after the interchange is completed, we allowed visitors to freely draw on the side of the newly constructed box culvert, and then took commemorative photos using a drone.

  • Patrol car ride experience

  • Watch a digest video of the removal of the overpass.

  • Take on Expressway quiz!

  • Leaving memories at the box culvert
