Joban Expressway 's "Decontamination Policy"

① Above 3.8 μSv/h to 9.5 μSv/h or less (as of June 2012):

Regarding areas to be repaired and maintained in future restoration and maintenance work, a reduction in radiation levels is expected due to the effects of road paving, etc.
The goal is to keep the ambient dose rate on the road surface during operation below approximately 3.8 μSv/h.

② Over 9.5 μSv/h (as of June 2012)

To the extent possible, effective decontamination will be carried out within a reasonable scope, and the ambient dose rate on the road surface during use will be reduced.
The goal is to keep the radiation levels below approximately 9.5 μSv/h even at the highest points.

Regarding the progress of the decontamination policy

① Between Namie IC and Minamisoma IC

We confirmed that the ambient dose rate is well below the target of the "decontamination policy."
(Measurements taken on October 21, 2014, average 0.6–0.7 μSv/h)

We confirmed that the ambient dose rate is well below the target of the "decontamination policy."
(Measurements taken on January 27, 2015 showed an average of 1.1 μSv/h and a maximum of 4.8 μSv/h.)
