Local construction of the proposed technology adopted for "technology for lightweight embankment"

Regarding "technology related to lightweight embankment," we have used "recycled lightweight aggregate using waste glass" that was proposed by Yazaki Corporation after confirming its performance through test construction.

Overview

Proposed company name

Yazaki Corporation

Proposal content

Recycled lightweight aggregate using waste glass

Proposal Date to TI Network

May 2009

Local trial location

Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway
Since embankment has been constructed on the soft ground at this location and the embankment has continued to settle for a long period of time, subsidence measures are being implemented. As a countermeasure against subsidence, in the repair work of the step between the bridge and the embankment, we confirmed the effect of suppressing the subsidence speed by using the proposed lightweight aggregate as the embankment material.

Since we have confirmed the performance of a lightweight embankment material as an embankment material, we are using it as a measure to control the level difference between the bridge and embankment on soft ground.

Local adoption status

2,900m to Tohoku-Chuo Expressway 3 Was constructed.
