Contributing to local life

Connections with the local community

To help people recognize Expressway as a familiar presence, we are disseminating information about the construction work and its effects after completion even before the road is completed. Additionally, for roads that are currently in operation, we are working on services that allow local residents to use SA and PA as part of their daily lives.

Promoting Expressway that are useful to the local community

Setting up a PR room and holding site tours

The understanding and cooperation of local residents and customers is essential to smoothly proceed with the development of Expressway network. We are introducing the benefits of the development and an overview of the construction work by setting up PR rooms near the construction sites and in shopping centers, and by holding site tours.

A site that is normally off-limits to the public is now open to the public - Kitanomaki rockfall prevention work on the Joshinetsu Expressway

There is a rock mass above the Kitanomaki Tunnel between Matsuida-Myogi IC and Usui-Karuizawa IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway that could potentially fall, so construction work is underway to remove it. People of all ages and genders were interested in the giant scaffolding, rides on the construction monorail, and the open access to heavy machinery such as giant cranes and the construction site, and we received many applications.

Management resources for the community

Effective use of the space under the viaduct

By allowing people to use the space under Expressway as a parking lot, we are contributing to safer living in the surrounding area (by mitigating and eliminating traffic congestion caused by light vehicles and illegal parking, etc.).
