NEXCO EAST Keihin Management Office (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) is planning to demolish the aging gate roof and construct a new one at the E83 Yokohama-Shindo Road Tollgate Totsuka Main Line (hereinafter "Totsuka TB") from early September 2025 to summer 2026. Lane restrictions will be in place for a long period of time, with construction work being switched between different locations.
We expect congestion during the restriction period, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when going out.

   • Lane restrictions will be implemented while switching construction locations.

2. Lane Restriction Period

During the above period, lane restrictions will be implemented while construction work is being carried out in different locations. Also, the locations of ETC lanes and general lanes will change depending on the season, so please be careful when driving. Congestion is expected during the restriction period, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

2. Purpose of the construction

Yokohama-Shindo Road Totsuka TB has been used by many customers since it opened in 1959. With the safety of Expressway users as the top priority, the gate roof, which has been in use for over 65 years, will be rebuilt to improve its earthquake resistance. This is an important construction project to promote disaster prevention and mitigation in the region, strengthen Expressway infrastructure, and ensure that the road will serve as an emergency route necessary for disaster response measures such as rescue operations in the event of a disaster.
