NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) will conduct a site tour (hereinafter referred to as "tour") of the disaster prevention base for related organizations at E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Joban Expressway") Moriya Service Area (hereinafter referred to as "SA") (In-bound line).
The purpose of this tour is to deepen understanding of the facilities and operation of Joban Expressway Moriya SA (In-bound line), which is being developed as a disaster prevention base, by related organizations in order to ensure its effective functioning in the event of a disaster.
Since the tour will be held at a rest facility that is in operation, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and ask for their understanding and cooperation.
In addition, the use of some parking lots may be restricted in order to park vehicles of participating institutions. Please understand this in advance.

   Preparation day:

   October 20th (Monday) 9:30-17:30
   • In the event of bad weather, the event will be postponed to a backup date.

2. Disaster prevention bases

In response to the fact that rest facilities on Expressway were used as assembly points and relay points for related organizations such as the Self-Defense Forces and fire departments during the Great East Japan Earthquake, NEXCO EAST has developed rest facilities with functions that can be used by related organizations in the event of a disaster, and is operating them as disaster prevention bases.
