NEXCO東日本関東支社（さいたま市大宮区）では、一部区間において、非常電話の運用（トンネル部及び休憩施設は除く）を令和8年5月11日（月）から順次停止します。
高速道路では、非常事態発生時の連絡手段として、高速道路路肩に約1km間隔で設置している非常電話と、携帯電話から場所を問わず無料で利用できる「#9910（道路緊急ダイヤル）」があります。
近年の携帯電話の普及に伴い、以下の区間において非常電話の運用を停止します。
Sections where service will be suspended (service will be suspended sequentially starting Monday, May 11, 2026)
- E16 Yokohama-Shindo Road
- Shin-Hodogaya IC to Kariba IC (both directions)
- E16 Yokohama Yokosuka Road
- Kariba IC to Mahori Kaigan IC (both directions)
Kamariya JCT to Namiki IC (both directions)
"#9910 (Road Emergency Dial)" can be used from any mobile phone regardless of location, and a reporting service via the LINE app has also been launched since March 2024.
Emergency telephones will continue to be available outside of the sections where service is currently suspended, so please use them in addition to "#9910 (Road Emergency Dial)."
