About plan (plan) about effective utilization, function enhancement of Expressway

"Significant reduction of Expressway tolls" in "Countermeasures for life" (October 30, 2008 Government/Russian Party Conference on New Economic Measures, Joint Conference on Economic Measures Ministerial Meeting) (December 8 of the same year, the government and the ruling party) Independence based on the "Effective Use/Enhancement of Expressway" proposed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism based on "Effective Use/Enhancement of Existing Expressway Networks" The Japan Expressway Ownership and Debt Repayment Agency and the six Expressway corporations have created plans for lowering tolls on Expressway.

  • In this plan, in order to effectively utilize and enhance the functions of Expressway, we will work on the reduction of tolls using ETC for about 10 years, and we will focus on "life measures" until FY2010 for the time being. ..
  • After soliciting opinions this time, we will make plans such as lowering the Expressway toll, and after proceeding with the procedures such as the consent of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we will start each measure in sequence.
  • Even after introducing each measure, we will continue to grasp traffic conditions, revenue reductions, and user convenience, review plans as necessary, and operate effectively.

  • Reductions in special charge sections, etc.
    • Special toll sections (Enayama tunnel, Hida tunnel, etc.), Ise bay coast road, Hiroshima Iwakuni road, etc.

3 Maintenance of smart interchange
In order to improve access to areas and Expressway and to revitalize areas in combination with toll measures, we have set a target of more than 200 locations while reducing costs.

Apart from the above, charges may change due to the termination of price social experiments, plan discounts, etc.
