NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is constructing the Kita-Kanto Expressway (nickname: "Kitakan") because it is expected that all lines will be opened before Golden Week (GW) in 2011. It will be announced.
Prospects for opening
Regarding the section between the Ota Kiryu Interchange (IC) and the Sano Danuma IC where the Kita-Kanto Expressway remains, we have been aiming for opening in the middle of 2011, but the last tunnel penetrates in that section in March, etc. Due to the progress of the construction work, it is expected to be opened before GW 2011.

Overview of "Kitakan" section under construction
- Kita-Kanto Expressway is a 150km Expressway that runs from Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, to Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. It connects the major cities of Gunma, Tochigi, and Ibaraki prefectures, as well as the Ibaraki Port, and forms a ring road connecting the 100 to 150 km area from Tokyo.
