Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway (hereinafter referred to as Aqua-Line) is heavily congested due to the concentration of traffic during certain hours on weekends and holidays.
In response to this, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Chiba Prefecture, and East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. established the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Traffic Facilitation Investigation Committee (Chairman) with the aim of alleviating congestion due to uneven distribution of traffic demand. : Road Planning Section, Prefectural Land Development Department, Chiba Prefecture)”, based on the discussion of toll measures, the discounted tolls for specific time slots will be changed on the Aqua Line In-bound line (Kisarazu → Kawasaki direction) on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
