NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has revised its "NEXCO EAST Group Medium-term Management Plan (FY2021 to FY2025)."
Since formulating our medium-term management plan, the business environment surrounding our company has changed significantly, including the extension of repayment periods and toll collection periods due to amendments to the Road Construction Special Measures Act, increased societal demand for sustainability, advances in digital technology, and improved toll revenues and profits at commercial facilities due to traffic volumes recovering to pre-COVID levels.
In light of these changes, we have added key measures such as conducting demonstration experiments of multi-function poles that support autonomous driving, taking measures against aging and disasters by promoting new renovation work, and responding to the need for a decarbonized society by formulating a Carbon Neutral Promotion Strategy (tentative name), and have reflected these in our financial numerical plan for the remaining two years.
In order to fulfill its social mission, NEXCO EAST Group will implement this plan as a unified group, based on the six basic policies, some of which have been revised, in order to grow as a company that contributes to all stakeholders and to create a sustainable Expressway that will connect to the future.
