  • Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. (NEXCO EAST), and AirX Co., Ltd. have teamed up to begin accepting applications for five helicopter sightseeing plans, including the "Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System Osaki Kōdo Aerial Course," as a return gift for hometown tax donations from Friday, November 7th.
  • This reward is a special sightseeing experience where the helicopter takes off and lands at the Chojabaru Service Area on the E4 Tohoku Expressway, allowing you to enjoy a panoramic view of Osaki City's rich nature and the beautiful scenery of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Site, Osaki Kodo, from above.

  • Since 2023, NEXCO EAST and AirX Co., Ltd. have been selling a "helicopter sightseeing plan with departure and arrival at the Chojabaru Service Area," which offers a new combination of Expressway and aerial sightseeing.
  • This initiative was made possible by the mutual cooperation of three parties: Osaki City, which wants people from outside the prefecture who use Expressway to know about the attractions of Osaki City; NEXCO EAST, which wants even more customers to experience the new attractions of tourism that combines Expressway with helicopter sightseeing; and AirX Co., Ltd.
  • This helicopter sightseeing plan, which takes off and lands at Expressway service and parking areas, is the only such initiative of its kind in Japan, and is also the first such example in the country as a return gift for hometown tax donations. As this plan allows people to experience the charms of Osaki City, we hope that many customers will take advantage of this opportunity, which will lead to increased tourism to Osaki City.
