NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo City) has summarized the traffic conditions on Expressway in Hokkaido during the year-end and New Year holidays as follows.

Average daily traffic volume during one period

The average daily traffic volume for the main sections is shown in the table below.

With the completion of the free social experiment, the traffic volume between Fukagawa and Asahikawa Takasu on the Do-O Expressway was almost the same as the traffic two years before the free social experiment.

In addition, due to the influence of the opening of the Shimukappu Doto Expressway, the traffic volume for each section has increased significantly compared to the traffic volume two years before the free social experiment.

In addition, the traffic volume during the period decreased due to a long-term suspension of traffic during the first half of the period, but since the 27th, it has been almost the same as the previous year, almost the same as the previous year.
