NEXCO東日本北海道支社（札幌市厚別区）は、交通安全にちなんだ川柳を募集した「第9回 スマイル ハイウェイ川柳」（募集期間 平成28年12月1日～平成29年2月28日）の受賞作品を以下のとおり決定しましたので、お知らせします。応募総数2,700作品の中から北海道川柳連盟事務局長 浪越靖政様の選考により、優秀賞に3作品、佳作に10作品、スマイルハイウェイアンバサダー・オクラホマ選考によるオクラホマ賞に2作品と合計15作品を受賞作に選出しました。
今回、見事第1位に輝いたのは、子どもが運転中のお父さんを気遣うかわいらしさを表現し、こまめな休憩の大切さを呼びかけた一句。さらに、第8回（募集期間 平成28年8月1日～9月30日）と第9回の応募作品から年間最優秀賞を選定しました。

平成28年度は、第8回（募集期間 平成28年8月1日～9月30日）と第9回（募集期間 平成28年12月1日～平成29年2月28日）の2回、スマイルハイウェイ川柳の募集を行い、合計3,709作品の応募をいただきました。

「スマイルハイウェイ宣言」とは
