About the situation of highway accompanying the 2018 Hokkaido Chikyu Eastern Earthquake

NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) would like to inform you that it will reopen some of the interchanges that were closed following the 2018 Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake that occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018.

1. Interchange closure status

-As of 8:20 PM on Thursday, September 6th-

• E5A Sasson Expressway Shinkawa IC exit (Otaru direction) 20 hours 20 minutes released

[Closed IC (continued)]

• [1] E5 Do-O Expressway Kita-Hiroshima IC inlet and outlet (both directions)
• [2] E5 Do-O Expressway Chitose IC exit (both directions)

The above [2] will be reopened as soon as the congestion on the connecting public roads is resolved.
