　NEXCO東日本北海道支社（札幌市厚別区）は、7月13日（水）から22日（金）までの夏の交通安全運動期間に際して、12日（火）に、北海道警察（道警）と合同で、「夏の交通安全運動出動式」を実施します。出動式の中では、園児の皆さんで結成される「こども交通安全応援隊」の団結式を実施し、交通安全の思いを込めた手作りの旗で出動式を盛り上げてもらいます。
　また、13日（水）からは、全道のサービスエリア・パーキングエリア（SA・PA）やインターチェンジ（IC）入口での交通安全キャンペーンと、SNS（Twitter）を使った新しいスタイルの交通安全啓発「#あなたの安全運転応援し隊」ハッシュタグキャンペーンをあわせて実施します。

  Police patrol cars, police motorcycles and NEXCO patrol cars will be lined up and will be dispatched to ensure the safety and security of the Expressway in Hokkaido and prevent traffic accidents. We will also hold a unity ceremony for the "Children's Traffic Safety Support Team" by the children.

Traffic management members who protect the safety and security of Expressway and the manner-up characters "Manati" will call for "summer traffic safety priority points" (see below) on Twitter. This time, in collaboration with the Hokkaido Prefectural Police, the Hokkaido Prefectural Police symbol mascot "Hokuto-kun" and the police motorcycle corps will appear.
Watch the video, follow the NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office official account (@e_nexco_kita), attach "#Your safe driving support team", and "Declare yourself about traffic safety and a message to your loved ones" NEXCO original mobile charger and Manati & Hokuto-kun goods will be presented to those who tweet.

2. NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office Summer Traffic Safety Priority Points

1. Don't forget to check before departure!
   In the summer, when there are many opportunities to drive long distances for leisure, many cars break down on the Expressway. Most of the causes are damage to tires or running out of fuel, and breakdowns can lead to secondary accidents such as vehicle fires.
   ​Remember to check fuel, tire pressure, oil and cooling water, especially before departure. If you have to stop on the Expressway, use the hazard lamp, flare, and triangular stop plate to signal the following vehicle and report from a safe place.





2. Prevention of motorcycle accidents!
   It's been a pleasant season to ride a motorcycle, but on the other hand, traffic accidents due to improper steering wheel operation on a motorcycle increase during this time. Also, riding a motorcycle is very easy to get tired because it receives the wind directly.
   　Take breaks frequently, do not overtake, and try to drive safely!

   
3. Make sure you wear seat belts and child seats properly in all seats!
   The fatality rate of non-seatbelt wearers in Expressway traffic accidents is about 20 times higher than that of wearers (according to the National Police Agency).
   To protect the precious lives of yourself and your loved ones, be sure to wear seat belts and child seats in all seats, including the rear seats, not just the driver and passenger seats.
