NEXCO EAST Obihiro Management Office (Otofuke Town, Kato District) will be holding a commemorative event on Thursday, October 30th this year, between Tokachi-Shimizu Interchange (IC) and Ikeda IC on the E38 Doto Expressway (Doto Expressway), which will mark the 30th anniversary of its opening.
The purpose of this event is to express our gratitude to the people living along the Doto Expressway who use it on a daily basis. In addition to promoting our business, the event will feature stage shows by local organizations along the line, character greetings, a photo panel exhibition of the 30 years since the road opened, and a big raffle where 30 people will receive prizes such as accommodation vouchers for Tokachigawa Onsen. Please come and join us.

(1) Stage shows by local groups along the line

Calligraphy performance by the Obihiro Kakuyo High School Calligraphy Club

Obihiro City's silently approved local hero show

Hip-hop dance show by JOYFIT dance circle

(2) Talk session with special guest Hiroyuki Morisaki

We will be inviting Hiroyuki Morisaki, a member of the theatre group TEAM NACS, to hold a talk session on the theme of "30 years since the opening. Towards the future beyond."

(3) Character Greetings

NEXCO EAST manners improvement characters "Manatee" and "Ikanzame", Obihiro Tourism and Convention Association's mascot character "Ushi-kun", and Kushiro City's local VTuber "Onigiri Cyan", who also works as a COOL Kushiro City Tourism Ambassador, will be visiting.

(4) Photo panel display of the 30 years since the line opened

Photo panels will be on display, including those from when the Tokachi-Shimizu IC to Ikeda IC section of Doto Expressway first opened, as well as those looking back over the past 30 years.

(5) Grand raffle with luxurious prizes

A total of 30 people will be chosen by lottery from among those who attend on the day to receive luxurious prizes.

Tokachigawa Onsen day trip bathing ticket
A pair of tickets to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters game (for the game on September 22, 2025)

Other prizes include local gourmet food from along Doto Expressway.

Tickets for the big raffle will be distributed on the day.
