NEXCO EAST Japan Kitahiroshima Management Office (Kitahiroshima City) will be closing the entrances and exits at Shiraoi Interchange (IC) and Tomakomai Nishi IC on the E5 Do-O Expressway (Do-o Expressway) at night due to construction work on new toll gates.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask that you leave with plenty of time and use alternative routes when traveling.

1. IC closure locations and dates

① Shiraoi IC entrance/exit closure [6 nights]

② Tomakomai Nishi IC entrance/exit closure [6 nights]

• Neither will be held on Saturdays or Sundays.
• In the event of bad weather, the event may be postponed to a backup date.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 294KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

At the entrance and exit lanes of Hokkaido Shiraoi IC and Tomakomai Nishi IC, we will carry out new construction work on the roof of the toll booth.
There are only two lanes for each exit and entrance lanes, and since construction cannot be carried out under the normal one-lane regulations, it is necessary to close the two lanes (exit or entrance ramps) and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to avoid causing as much inconvenience as possible to customers, we will close the building on weekday nights when there is little traffic, and carry out the construction intensively and efficiently. This is a necessary construction work for you to use the Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
