NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo; Regional Head Office president: Shinichi Ishikawa) and Niigata Regional Head Office (Nishi-ku, Niigata city, Regional Head Office: Yoshio Shiraishi) customers who are unfamiliar with the snowy road to leisure in Nagano or Niigata. The following events will be held for students to experience the dangers of "sudden" braking and "sudden" steering wheel operation on snowy roads to deepen their awareness of safe driving on snowy roads.

"Parada" venue

・It is convenient to use the Sakudaira Smart IC to reach the "Parada" venue (North Parada No. 3 parking lot).
Joshinetsu Expressway Sakudaira PA has a highway oasis, Saku Ski Garden "Parada", which is directly accessible from the PA. The slopes are divided into the south and the north, and you can easily go to the south parada (slopes on the south side) from within PA and to the north parada (slopes on the north side) using the "Sakudaira Smart IC".
The Sakudaira Smart IC has been in full-scale operation since April 1, 2007, as a full interchange system that can be operated 24 hours a day from both Tokyo and Nagano.

【Implementation content】

(1) Snow road driving experience

Date and time	From Saturday, January 31, 2009 to Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 10:00 to 15:30
Venue	Saku Ski Garden "Palada" North Parada Third Parking Lot (Directly connected to Sakudaira PA on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway with a smart IC)
Overview	Test drive the prepared passenger car (provided by Endless Advance Co., Ltd.) on the "Snow Road Drive Experience Course (20 m wide x 80 m long frozen road surface)" installed in the Saku Ski Garden "Parada". Two test vehicles are available: one with studless tires and one with normal tires. Experience the difference in behavior of each vehicle due to starting, slalom, sudden braking, etc. In addition, the instructor (Rally driver Norihiko Katsuta) will give advice on the points of snowy road driving.
Qualification	Those who have a normal license or higher (* Those who are drunk cannot participate).
The number of participants	First 50 people (each day)
Participation fee	free
Reception method	Fill out the application form at the reception located beside the course.
Participation privilege	Get a free drink ticket from the Palada Center House.
Other	The Parada venue will be held in the parking lot of the ski resort Parada, which is directly connected to Sakudaira PA, so only those who use Parada can participate. We also lend ski shoes for changing shoes and temporarily store ski wear. Depending on the weather conditions and conditions of the snowy road experience course, the holding time may be shortened or canceled. E-NEXCO pass campaign From January 31, 2009 to March 31, 2009, the following discounts will be applied to the Saku Ski Garden "PARADA" when you use the E-NEXCO pass. 500 yen discount on lift tickets 10% discount on food and beverage and facility charges

(2) Attractions other than snowy road experience

Overview	A lane mark and rubber cone are installed on the "snow road experience course (13m wide x 54m long frozen road surface)" installed in the parking area. Test drive a passenger car. There are two passenger cars, one with studless tires and one with normal tires. Experience the dangers of sudden braking and steering on frozen roads.
Qualification	Those who have a normal license or higher (* Those who are drunk cannot participate).
The number of participants	You will experience on a first-come, first-served basis (if you have a large number of people, you may have to wait).
Participation fee	free
Reception method	Fill out the application form at the reception located beside the course.
Participation privilege	Free gifts of coffee, gifts, etc. that can be used at Tanigawadake PA (below).
Other	Depending on the weather conditions and conditions of the snowy road experience course, the holding time may be shortened or canceled.

(2) Attractions other than snowy road experience

A commemorative photo corner with a snowman is available in the venue for children to enjoy.
