Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co.

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office length: Shinichi Ishikawa) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. (Ota-ku, Tokyo, president: Masato Aono) will be on August 5th. We are looking for 170 people to participate as members of the 4th "Aqualine Expedition" held in Umihotaru on Thursday.

The "Aqualine Expedition", which will be celebrating its 4th time this time, is an emergency evacuation passage for tunnels built under the sea surface of Tokyo Bay (the deepest part: approximately 60 m), and a fire in an undersea tunnel may occur. This is to explore facilities and equipment that you cannot normally see, such as a "disaster prevention system" prepared for situations.

The expedition will also be attended by the Awanami patrol boat and the Hayabusa aqualine inspection ship from the Japan Coast Guard, 3rd District Coast Guard Headquarters, and the Chiba Coast Guard Department. Plans are available.

If you would like to participate, please check the content of the application and apply according to the application guidelines. If there are a large number of applicants, we will determine the members by lottery.

In addition, when visiting from the sea, we will inform you of which ship to board along with other communication items when we notify you of the winning result.

  • Aqualine exploration from the sea may be canceled in a hurry, depending on the conditions of the waves. In addition, please note that the experience boarding may be canceled without notice if a disaster such as a marine accident occurs and the Chiba Coast Guard is ordered.
