NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) is constructing the Shisui IC (tentative name) between the Sakura Interchange (IC) and the Narita IC on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway (Higashi Kanto Expressway) with the goal of completion in 2012. ..
In order to carry out the bridge construction of this Shisui IC (tentative name), we will carry out night traffic closures between Sakura IC and Narita IC.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have enough time when you go out.
1 Night closed section and date and time
(1) Section Up and down line between Sakura IC and Narita IC on the East Kanto Expressway (extension 14.9km)
(2) Date and time From Tuesday, March 6, 2012 23:00 to 5:00 the next morning (6 hours)
- In case of stormy weather, it will be postponed to the same time zone from the next day. (7th, 8th spare days)
- In case of stormy weather, the decision on whether or not to close at night will be made at 17:00 on the day of the implementation.
- The Shisui Parking Area (PA) (upper and lower lines) will be closed from 22:00, one hour before the road starts closing.
- Please note that traffic will be restricted even after the road is closed.
2 Detour
If you use Expressway, the travel time between the Higashi Kanto Expressway Sakura IC and Narita IC (14.9km) is usually about 10 minutes, but it is a detour route (17.7km) that passes Route 51 and Route 295. If you use, it will take about 25 minutes, so please take time to go out. For detailed detours, Attachment 1 [PDF: 274KB] Please refer to. Please note that it is not possible to pass from the new airport IC to Tokyo, so please use Route 51 from National Highway 295 to Teradai Interchange.

3 Construction overview
Shisui IC (tentative name) is a regional revitalization IC for the purpose of easing congestion around Sakura IC and Tomisato IC, revitalizing local industries, and improving convenience for residents.
The C ramp of Shisui IC (tentative name) (a connecting road from the toll gate to the Narita area) will build a bridge across the Higashi Kanto Road and also remove the overpass.
