The Tokyo Outer Ring Road (between Misato Minami IC and Takaya JCT) is jointly operated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd.
We are currently in the process of scrutinizing the construction process because some of the construction is taking time, but we are pleased to inform you that it is expected to be open by June 2018.
This construction site is a construction site where the outer ring road intersects with the prefectural road Kawaurayasu Line (hereinafter prefectural road), and the Expressway main unit and junction lamps were built under the prefectural road with a significant amount of traffic. It is difficult to construct a viaduct of National Route 298 on the above structure.
In the underground construction, the work efficiency was extremely low, and in the viaduct construction on the ground, it took more time than originally planned because it was necessary to take all possible measures to ensure the safety of the nearby prefectural road traffic.
We will continue to pay close attention to safety measures for construction, and will make every possible effort to open the service as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
