NEXCO EAST Keihin Management Office (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) will be closing the E16 Yokohama Yokosuka Road in both directions between Sawara Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") and Maborikaigan IC to carry out work to prevent tunnel lighting equipment from falling and road maintenance work.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you may have some time when you go out.

3. Construction overview

On Yokohama Yokosuka Road, between Sawara IC and Maborikaigan IC, we will (1) install anchors in the upper part of the tunnel walls to prevent the tunnel lighting equipment from falling, and attach wires to the lighting fixtures. In addition, (2) we will inspect and clean the tunnel lighting equipment to keep it in good condition at all times, as well as sweep the road surface and mow the shoulders.

We will carry out construction work intensively and efficiently so as not to inconvenience customers as much as possible. Since this work is necessary to use the Expressway safely and comfortably, we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
