The Kanto Regional Liaison Council (hereinafter referred to as the “liaison council”) for the optimization of large-sized vehicle traffic is led by the road managers that make up the city, and the large vehicles run by the police and the Kanto Transport Bureau in 1 prefecture and 3 prefectures. We would like to inform you that we have deepened the cooperation of the three parties involved in the above and conducted a large-scale simultaneous joint crackdown in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

In order to promote the proper and safe use of roads, the Liaison Council is strengthening its efforts on illegal overweight vehicles, which are the main cause of deterioration of road structures. Expanding to the same time, we carried out simultaneous joint enforcement with the participation of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Kanto Transport Bureau (Saitama Transport Bureau). In order to protect road infrastructure, we will continue to promote the optimization of traffic for large vehicles under the slogan of "Protect the weight and protect the road."

• In addition to this, we simultaneously carried out crackdowns on unauthorized modifications based on the Road Transport Vehicle Act and issued a maintenance order for two infringing vehicles.
• This joint crackdown was carried out as an initiative of the Liaison Council since last year, mainly by the road managers of the 1 prefectures and 3 prefectures that make up the association, in cooperation with related police.
