The smart interchange (smart IC) connected to the Izuruhara parking area (PA) on the E50 Kita-Kanto Expressway, which has been developed by Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture and NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), will open in 2020. It will open at 15:00 on Monday, September 19th.

3. About the name
- In order to make it clear to users of the smart IC that it is a smart IC dedicated to ETC and that it is an entrance installed in an existing PA, the name of the PA is Izuhara Izuruhara" using "Izuhara Izuruhara "Smart Interchange".
- This name was examined by the "(provisional name) Izuhara PA Smart Interchange District Council" composed of Sano City and others, and was decided based on the opinions of the Road Sign Appropriate Committee organized by road administrators in Tochigi Prefecture. Based on the draft name, it was decided through the prescribed procedures by the Japan Expressway Ownership and Debt Repayment Agency (Germany).
