NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) and Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the full opening of their lines on Saturday, March 1, 2025. E6 We would like to inform you that we will be holding various events and campaigns on Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as Joban Expressway") to express our gratitude to our customers who use Expressway on a daily basis and to the people living along the route.

2. Events and Campaigns

(1) Launch of special website

​A special website has been set up to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the entire Joban Expressway. In addition to providing information on sightseeing spots and gourmet food along Joban Expressway, the website will also introduce the progress made since the 10th anniversary of the opening of the entire Joban Expressway and the effects of the construction work.

(2) Mystery-Solving Highway

A "Mystery Solving Highway" themed on Joban Expressway and the areas along the route is being held on a special website.
If you answer all the questions correctly, you will be entered into a lottery to win a luxurious prize, so please take part.

(3) Campaigns at SA/PA

1. At the following SA and PA on Joban Expressway, customers who order a special menu using ingredients from the area will receive a 100 yen discount coupon that can be used within the facility, as well as a 10th anniversary novelty gift. The menu items vary at each SA and PA, so please check the information posted for each area for details. (The offer will end once the planned number of items is sold out.)

2. We will hold Joban Expressway product exhibition featuring souvenirs from Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ibaraki prefectures along Joban Expressway. You can purchase special souvenirs that are not usually available at the SA and PA on Joban Expressway, such as popular Tohoku souvenirs "Hagino Tsuki" and "Shiramatsuga Monaka." Please stop by.

(4) Events commemorating the 10th anniversary of the full line opening

We will be holding a 10th anniversary event to commemorate the opening of the entire line, in order to deepen understanding of the effects of Joban Expressway 's construction and to express gratitude to the people living along the line.
There will be a lot of fun events, such as a panel display of the effects of the maintenance work, PR booths from local governments along the line, greetings with local mascots, and stage performances by local groups. Please come and join us.

(5) Panel exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of the opening of the entire Joban Expressway

The following panels will introduce the history of Joban Expressway and the effects of its construction.
Please note that the implementation period may be subject to change.

(6) Campaign to win local specialties from Joban Expressway Expressway

[Dorawari] In cooperation with the Tohoku Tourism Free Pass and other organizations, we are preparing a campaign where you can win local specialties from Joban Expressway Expressway. Details will be announced on the special website as soon as they are decided.
