The project is being carried out jointly by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Kanto Regional Development Bureau's Joso National Highway Office and East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. E51 We are pleased to announce that the names of the interchanges on Higashi-Kanto Expressway Mito Line (Itako to Hokota) have been decided to be "Itako Namegata Interchange" and "Namegata Interchange."
Background to the name decision
This name was decided based on the draft name, which was decided upon in response to the opinions of the Road Sign Optimization Committee, which is made up of road administrators and others in Ibaraki Prefecture, and after going through the prescribed procedures by the Japan Expressway Holding and Debt Repayment Agency.
