NEXCO EAST Ichihara Management Office (Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture), Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture), and Chiba Construction Office (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) will be conducting nighttime road closures on the C4 Ken-o Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Ken-O Road Expressway") from Matsuo Yokoshiba Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") to Kisarazu Higashi IC for pavement repair work and structure inspections, as well as construction work to widen the road to four lanes near Matsuo Yokoshiba IC.
In addition, the Choshi Link Road (managed by the Chiba Prefectural Road Public Corporation), which directly connects to Ken-O Road O Expressway, will also be closed (entry prohibited) as customers entering from Yokoshiba Hikari IC will not be able to exit onto a public road from Matsuo Yokoshiba IC.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when going out.

1. Closed section and date and time

1. Closed section:
   Section I

   Ken-O Road and Outer Loop Matsuo Yokoshiba IC to Togane IC Junction (hereinafter "JCT")
   Choshi Link Road, both inbound and outbound lanes, Matsuo Yokoshiba IC to Yokoshiba Hikari IC

   Section II

   Ken-O Road and Outer Loop Togane IC/JCT to Ichihara Tsurumai IC

   Section III

   Ken-O Road-O Expressway Inner and Outer Route Ichihara Tsurumai IC - Kisarazu East IC



• Attached to each line C4 The indications such as indicate the route number (numbering) of Expressway.
2. Date and time

• The rest facilities in the closed section will be closed as follows.
  Ken-O Ken-O Road Takatakiko Parking Area Every night from 19:30 to 5:00 the next morning
• In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
• The decision to proceed with construction will be announced on X (formerly Twitter) etc. around 5:00 pm on the same day.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to Attachment-1 [PDF: 292KB] and Attachment-2 [PDF: 442KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic

For customers who exit Expressway due to a road closure, detour around the closed section, then re-enter and transfer in the forward direction, we will implement a "transfer adjustment" in which the toll will be adjusted according to the section of the expressway used.

Transfer IC

• Oami Shirasato Smart IC, Mobara Nagara Smart IC, Takada IC, Futtsu Chuo IC, and Anesaki Sodegaura IC are limited to ETC-equipped vehicles.

1. Takada IC, Anesaki Sodegaura IC, and Futtsu Chuo IC are ETC-only toll gates, but non-ETC vehicles can also use them as re-entry interchanges when roads are closed.If you are using Takada IC, Anesaki Sodegaura IC, or Futtsu Chuo IC in a non-ETC vehicle, please use the lane marked "Support," stop temporarily, and follow the instructions of local signs and staff.

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

• For customers using ETC, please drive wirelessly at designated outflow ICs, and also wirelessly drive at re-inflow ICs. (Transfer certificates are not issued for ETC vehicles)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
• Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers paying with cash, etc. should receive a "transfer certificate" at the outflow designated IC, then take a "transit ticket" at the re-inflow IC, and then take the "transition certificate" at the toll booth where they pay the toll for the first time. Please hand over your ``book'' and ``traffic ticket.''

Common to ETC and cash customers

• If the suspension of traffic is released after the outflow designated IC is released, the fare will be adjusted even if it is re-introduced from the IC (including the outflow designated IC) in the closed road section in the forward direction.

Four. Construction overview

Between Matsuo Yokoshiba IC and Kisarazu Higashi IC Ken-O Road, there will be nighttime road closures to repair damaged pavement and inspect structures, as well as to carry out construction to widen the road to four lanes near Matsuo Yokoshiba IC.
The section where this work will be carried out has only one lane in each direction, and as normal lane restrictions will not allow the work to be carried out, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the road will be closed at night on weekdays when traffic is lighter, and the work will be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner. This work is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

• Between Matsuo Yokoshiba IC and Sanbu Narutou IC, lane operation will be changed due to construction work to widen the road to four lanes. Please refer to Appendix 4 [PDF: 406KB] for details.

Five. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

• Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
