NEXCO東日本水戸管理事務所（茨城県水戸市）は、日本三名園の一つである偕楽園と連携し、E6常磐自動車道（以下「常磐道」）友部サービスエリア（以下「友部SA」）（上り線）に偕楽園の梅の坪庭を整備します。
この取り組みは、当社の企業理念「地域をつなぎ 地域とつながり 未来につなげる」に基づき、偕楽園から提供いただいた梅（八重寒紅）を植樹し、梅の坪庭として整備することで、高速道路を利用するお客さまにリフレッシュしていただくとともに、茨城県の観光PRと地域連携の一環として実施するものです。
このたび、「梅の坪庭」の完成に伴い、オープニングセレモニーを実施します。

Overview地域連携として整備した「梅の坪庭」のオープニングセレモニーを行います。
また、オープニングセレモニーにお集まりいただいた先着50名のお客さまに粗品（水戸の銘菓セット）をプレゼントします。

3. About the plums provided by Kairakuen to NEXCO EAST
Variety:
八重寒紅やえかんこう（「水戸のウメ」コレクション※）
Overview:
早咲きの八重中輪。紅色をした丸弁が三重重ねからなり、内側の花弁は浅く凹む。野梅香と杏香が合わさったような香り。早春を告げる花。
- It is registered under the National Collection Certification System established by the Japan Association of Botanical Gardens (President: Crown Prince Akishino).
