NEXCO EAST　Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway The Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) will close the road between the Futtsu-Chuo Interchange (hereinafter "IC") on E14 Tateyama Expressway (hereinafter "Tateyama Road") and the Tomiura Interchange on E14 Futtsu-Tateyama Road (hereinafter "Tomikan Road") during the night in order to repair and inspect the road structure.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing extra time for your trip.

  • The following applies to the closure of rest facilities on the days when Section II is closed to traffic:

  • In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
  • The decision regarding whether to proceed with the construction will be announced around 5 PM on the day via X (formerly Twitter) and other channels.
  • Futtsu Chuo Interchange is an ETC-only toll gate, but during this road closure period, even if you are unable to use ETC (e.g., ETC onboard unit not installed, ETC card not inserted), please follow the instructions and exit through Futtsu Chuo Interchange. When exiting, please use the lane marked "ETC/Support" or "Support," come to a complete stop, and proceed according to the instructions of the staff.

2. Detour

For information on alternative routes, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 298KB].
The detour will increase your travel time, so please allow ample time for your journey.

3. Construction overview

At Tateyama Expressway Futtsu Chuo IC ~ Tomidate Expressway Tomiura IC, we will carry out repairs and inspections of road structures. Since this section is one lane per direction and cannot be carried out under normal lane restrictions, we will close the road on weekday nights when traffic is low to minimize inconvenience to customers, and carry out the work intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary for safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Four. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.

    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
