East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. Tsukuba Construction Office and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Kanto Regional Development Bureau Joso National Highway Office have been working to expand the C4 Ken-o Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Ken Ken-O Road") to four lanes (Kuki-Shiraoka Junction (hereinafter referred to as "JCT") to Taiei JCT). From November 1, 2026, the section between Kozaki Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") and Taiei JCT will begin operation as four lanes, and the maximum speed in this section will be changed from 70 km/h to 80 km/h.
We will continue to prioritize safety as we proceed with the expansion of the Ibaraki and Chiba sections to four lanes.
