NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Niigata City Nishi Ward, Regional Head Office President: Yoshio Shiraishi) was established on July 16, 2007. We will resume the restoration work on the Expressway damaged by the Niigata Chuetsu-oki Earthquake from August 19th (Tue).

From the beginning of spring of this year, the area affected by the earthquake struck between Hokuriku Expressway (upper and lower lines) Joetsu Interchange (IC) and Nagaoka Junction (JCT) between May 8 (Thu) and August 7 (Thu). Due to this restoration work, we were implementing a day and night continuous lane regulation. However, during the Obon period (August 8th to August 18th) during which the traffic volume increases, traffic restrictions were lifted and it became possible to drive in four lanes. From Tuesday, August 19th until the beginning of December (planned), the one-lane control will continue again day and night.

When using the Expressway, please check the road traffic information in advance on the NEXCO EAST website "DraPla" etc. and go out with plenty of time.

NEXCO EAST in, take a close collaboration with the relevant agencies involved in the Niigata Prefectural Police and the earthquake this restoration work, so as to minimize the inconvenience to our customers, NEXCO EAST raised the full force of the earthquake this restoration work We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
