NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Niigata Chuo-ku) is, as efforts to electric vehicles (EV) spread for a low-carbon society, Kan-Etsu Expressway of Echigokawaguchi service area (SA) and Tanigawadake parking area of (PA) We will inform you that we have installed a quick charger for EVs on each line.
With this installation, together with the existing quick chargers, the rapid chargers will be installed at intervals of approximately 70km on the Kan-Etsu Expressway between Niigata and the Tokyo metropolitan area. As a result, you don't have to leave the Expressway every time you charge the battery, and you will have a comfortable EV drive.
NEXCO EAST has installed four rapid chargers in Kanagawa prefecture, two in Chiba prefecture, three in Saitama prefecture, and two in Niigata prefecture, and will be installed at Kanto Regional Head Office on July 31. A total of 16 units, including one SA (In-bound) and four units installed this time.

Status of installation of quick chargers and introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) at our company
In order to contribute to the promotion of the spread of electric vehicles, we have installed 11 quick chargers on roads in Niigata Prefecture and confirmed the usage situation.
We have also introduced five electric vehicles and one plug-in hybrid vehicle for commercial use.
(Of these, the Niigata Regional Head Office has two electric vehicles and one plug-in hybrid vehicle.)
