NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) will be operating Hokuriku Expressway from 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15th to 24:00 on Sunday, May 21st for repair work on damaged pavement and salt damage countermeasures. The entrance to the interchange (IC) towards Toyama will be closed for 7 consecutive days and nights.
We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation as the road will be closed to ensure safe, secure and comfortable use of the Expressway.

Passengers heading from Tochiyama to Toyama should use Asahi IC via Route 8.
It takes about 13 minutes if you use the Expressway from Oirashi IC to Asahi IC, but it will take about 26 minutes if you use General Route 8 under normal traffic conditions.
