NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) E7 We will carry out night traffic closures between the Niigata Airport Interchange (IC) and Arakawa Tonai IC on the Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway due to pavement repair work.
We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation as it is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of the Expressway.

The section is a temporary 2 lanes (1 lane on each side), and the number of traffic restrictions will be reduced by implementing night traffic closures, and pavement repair work etc. will be carried out intensively and efficiently.
Closed sections and detours
Please make a detour to Route 7 during the closed hours.
It takes about 15 minutes from Niigata Airport IC to Seiro Shibata IC, but if you use Route 7, it will take about 20 minutes under normal traffic conditions.
It takes about 20 minutes between the Seiro Shibata IC and Arakawa Teuchi IC, but if you use Route 7, it will take about 45 minutes under normal traffic conditions.
