Due to a partial revision of the "Order for road signs, lane markings, and road markings" on December 14, 2018, a new sign "Vehicles without tire chains attached" has been established.
Along with this, on the national highways and Expressway under the jurisdiction of the Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, sections have been set up to implement "chain regulations" as follows.
In the following regulated sections, we plan to implement chain regulation when heavy snowfall, such as the "Emergency announcement regarding heavy snowfall", occurs and the risk of frequent stuck vehicles increases due to snowfall conditions.

Please note that if "chain restrictions" are enforced in the above section, vehicles without chains (all vehicles) will not be able to pass.
* You cannot drive with only winter tires.
