NEXCO EAST Joetsu Management Office (Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture) will hold an award ceremony for the top works such as the grand prize and excellence award of the 12th Joetsu Painting Exhibition on Saturday, December 2nd. The event will be held at the City Citizens Plaza.
This event, now in its 12th year, aims to make the elementary school students who will be the next generation along Expressway under the jurisdiction of the Joetsu Management Office aware of the wonders of drawing and the importance of having dreams. This art exhibition is also held with the aim of deepening interest and understanding of Expressway projects.
This time, we received 667 entries from elementary school students from Joetsu City, Itoigawa City, Myoko City, Shinanomachi, Kamizuuchi District, Nagano Prefecture, and Asahi Town, Shimoshinkawa District, Toyama Prefecture.

   Out of the 50 selected works, the children (17 students from 12 schools) who were the authors of 17 works that received the Encouragement Award or above will be awarded a certificate of commendation by the head of our Joetsu Management Office.
   A group photo will be taken of all the children receiving awards.
