NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) will be closing the E8 Hokuriku Expressway Kakizaki Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") overnight in order to carry out work to replace the roof of the toll plaza.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time to spare when you go out.

  • Regulatory periods and times may change or be canceled depending on the weather.
  • Around the summer of 2020, we plan to close the IC at night due to roof installation.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 225KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

In the entrance lane and exit lane of the Hokuriku Expressway Kakizaki IC, we will carry out demolition work due to the replacement of the roof of the toll booth. Since this roof covers all lanes, all entrances and exits must be closed to carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the building on weekday evenings when traffic is low and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

    Highway radio sections are indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway information terminal
    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.

    You can get road traffic information with VICS-compatible car navigation and other on-board devices.
  • Information is also distributed on the official X (formerly Twitter) account.
