NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) will be implementing lane restrictions throughout the day on the E8 Hokuriku Expressway from Asahi Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") to Noe IC in order to carry out tunnel lighting renewal work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.

  • Lane restrictions will also be in place day and night on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • The regulation period may change depending on the weather and work progress.
  • Although no traffic congestion is predicted, please check the latest traffic information before setting off, as the actual traffic situation may differ from the prediction due to accidents, weather, etc.

3. Construction overview

We will be carrying out work to update the tunnel lighting from sodium to LED lighting on Hokuriku Expressway between Itoigawa IC and Noe IC (Hiraushi Tunnel and Onibushi Tunnel) on the Out-bound lanes, and between Asahi IC and Oyashirazu IC (Ichiburi Tunnel) on the inbound and outbound lanes.

Four. Request when using

  2. If traffic congestion occurs, please cooperate in preventing rear-end collisions by turning on your hazard lights to signal vehicles behind you.
  3. When passing through, please observe the speed limit, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and be careful to avoid rear-end collisions. In addition, as the lanes change significantly before and after the restricted area, please follow the local guide signs.
  4. Construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the area around the construction site. Please be careful as you pass through.
  5. During the construction period, we will provide information on construction restrictions using road information boards and road signs, and will be calling for caution so that people can pass safely. Please check this information when passing through and pass through safely.
