- About result of winter tire wearing situation investigation on Expressway

NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai, Regional Head Office president: Mikio Kashima), Check the winter tire installation status and ask the customer to install it early. Therefore, Expressway in major interchanges (IC), has implemented the mounting survey of winter tire in the early winter period.
The results of the survey conducted on November 17 are shown in the table below.
Compared to the previous survey (conducted on November 10th), the winter tire installation rate is higher, but compared to the same period last year, the overall installation rate is low.
The Tohoku region is approaching a full-blown snow season, and the possibility of snow accumulation on the roads in the plains as well as in the mountains increases. Please wear early winter tires and drive safely.
The next survey is scheduled for November 25th.
