NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai, Regional Head Office president: Mikio Kashima), Check the winter tire installation status and ask the customer to replace the tires early. Therefore, Expressway in major interchanges (IC), has implemented the mounting survey of winter tire in the early winter period.
The results of the survey conducted on November 16 are shown in the table below.
The winter tire installation rate is higher than in the previous survey (November 9th), but the overall installation rate is still low.
This weekend will be three consecutive holidays (November 21, 22 and 23), and it is expected that more passengers will use the Expressway such as vacationers. When you go out, snow may occur not only in the mountains but also on the roads in the plains, so be sure to wear winter tires early and drive safely.

- Survey method: Visually check the tire type of the vehicle passing through the general lane at the tollgate.
(One time: about 100 units or 30 to 60 minutes)
