Tohoku Regional Head Office

NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) will update the system of the "Road Control Center" and hold a ceremony to start operation for new operation.

The Road Control Center was established in 1973, when the Expressway was first opened in Tohoku, and since then it has been improved with the extension of the Expressway, and has been conducting traffic control and road facility control for the safety and security of customers.

The base of the current system is the renovation with new equipment since 1997, when a large-scale renovation was carried out to centrally manage the road control center located in two Tohoku locations in one Sendai.

With the new system, taking into account the operational experience of our Regional Head Office in the past due to earthquakes, we have taken both hardware and software measures to improve the reliability during an earthquake, and the probability of occurrence within the next 10 years is about 70%. Prepare for the Miyagi-ken Oki Earthquake, which is said to have occurred.

The reliability of the new system against earthquake disaster was announced at the "17th ITS World Congress Busan 2010" held in Busan, South Korea in October last year, and was awarded as an excellent paper and highly evaluated in the world. ..

You can see the latest road control center, which you rarely see, so please join us.
