Joban Expressway Joban Tomioka IC-Namie IC (14.3km) was opened on Sunday, March 1st. We will inform you about the traffic situation (preliminary value) after the opening. Going forward, we will continue to sequentially survey and organize traffic volume trends and the effects of opening traffic.
- After opening the Joban Expressway the traffic volume from Iwaki JCT to Sendai Wakabayashi JCT is 7,500-31,800 vehicles/day.
- The amount of traffic between the Tokiwa Tomioka IC and the Namie IC that was opened this time is 7,700 vehicles/day.
- The traffic volume on National Highway No. 6, which runs in parallel with Joban Expressway, has decreased by up to 30%.
