  • The work may be postponed in bad weather.
  • The lane regulation date and the two-way traffic regulation date may change depending on the progress of construction.

3. Traffic restrictions

In the floor slab replacement work, we will reduce the section of each two lanes of up and down lines to one lane and consolidate it on one side to enforce face-to-face traffic all day long. For the first few days at the start and end of the construction period, both the upper and lower lanes will be regulated all day as preparation work for switching lanes.
*Please refer to the attached document [PDF:354KB] for the construction regulation step diagram.

Four. Construction content

About 43 years have passed since the Takina River Bridge located between the Hanamaki IC and the Morioka Minami IC on the Tohoku Expressway (upper and lower lines) has passed. Deterioration of concrete slabs and rust on the reinforcing bars are caused by the salt content of the anti-freezing agent spraying, so it is necessary to implement drastic measures against deterioration.
By replacing the deteriorated existing concrete slab with a new slab, it will be reborn as a safe and comfortable Expressway.

Five. Request when using

  1. The construction section will be restricted to face-to-face traffic throughout the day for a maximum of approximately 3 km. It may be reduced from the current two lanes to one lane on one side, and congestion may occur at the construction site at the beginning, so please take time to go out.
  2. Since the driving lanes and shoulders are narrow in the two-way traffic regulation section, please observe the regulation speed when traveling and secure a sufficient distance between vehicles to be careful of rear-end collisions. In addition, the lanes change significantly before and after the two-way traffic regulation section, so please follow the local signs.
  3. Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
  4. During the construction period, we will provide traffic congestion information using simple information boards, construction regulation information using road information boards and road signs, and call for caution to drive safely. Please check this information when riding and drive safely.

6. Efforts to minimize inconvenience to customers due to construction work

*Precast is a product manufactured in advance at a factory.
