NEXCO EAST Expressway Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai City) has been promoting four lanes since 2016. E6 Joban Expressway Iwaki Chuo Interchange (IC) -Hirono IC (about 27km) It is expected that four lanes will be operated from March 30, 1991 (Tuesday) in some sections (about 15km). As a result, about 23km of the four-lane project (about 27km) in Fukushima Prefecture will be completed. For the remaining sections, we will continue to strive for completion as soon as possible.
At the same time, of the additional lane installation (about 13.7km) between Hirono IC and Yamamoto IC, which has been maintained, Reiwa 3 years between Hirono IC and Joban Tomioka IC. Approximately 3.1km will be put into operation on March 26th (Friday), and approximately 1.2km will be put into operation on March 30th (Tuesday), 3rd year of Reiwa. As a result, all six additional lanes (approximately 13.7km) that have been promoted since 2016 will be completed.
