NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office Office (Miyagino-ku, Sendai City) is in the Tohoku region managed by our company during the Obon period [7 days from Wednesday, August 10, 2020 to Tuesday, August 16, 2022] We have summarized the usage status of the Expressway, so we will inform you.
Traffic volume
- The average daily traffic volume in the Tohoku region was 21,200 vehicles per day, about 78% of the same period in 2019. (Reiwa increased to about 138% compared to the same period in 3 years.) ）
- Traffic peaked on August 11 (Thursday) for the Out-bound line and on August 14 (Sunday) for the In-bound line.
Congestion
- There was only one traffic jam of 5 km or more.
- This traffic jam occurred around 2:35 on August 11 (Thursday) near the Yabuki Interchange on the E4 Tohoku Expressway (Out-bound line).
