NEXCO EAST Fukushima Management Office (Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture) E4 The entrance and exit ramps at Kunimi Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") on Tohoku Expressway Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") will be closed at night due to reconstruction work on the toll booth roof.

   Entrance ramp closure date:

   September 1st (Monday) to September 3rd (Wednesday), 2020

   Every night from 20:00 to 5:00 the next morning

   Entrance ramp closure reserve date:

   Thursday, September 4th to Friday, September 5th, 2020

   Every night from 20:00 to 5:00 the next morning
   Exit or entrance ramp closure reserve date:

   September 8th (Monday) to September 19th (Friday), 2020
   Every night from 8pm to 5am the following morning, excluding weekends and holidays

Usage Guide

• In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
• The decision to proceed with construction will be announced on X (formerly Twitter), etc.

The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway　Steel frame construction of the toll booth roof will be performed on the exit and entrance lanes of the Kunimi IC. Since there are only two lanes each at the exit and entrance ramps, it is necessary to close the two lanes (exit or entrance ramps) for the work to be carried out, as it is not possible to work with the normal one-lane restriction.
Therefore, to minimize inconvenience to customers, the ramps will be closed during weekday evenings when traffic volume is low, so that work can be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.
